Create App account: fill in the information in each field and then tap “Register”, a screen similar to the following will appear:
Activate the VCI module:
In the above figure, input the Serial Number and Activation Code, which can be found in the password envelope.
Note: To exit and activate it later, tap “Skip”. In this case, you can activate your connector by tapping “Activate Connector” in “Personal Center”.
Tap “Activate”, a dialog box pops up saying congratulations! You have successfully completed your registration; the next step is to download the diagnostic software

I have used this device on my 3 cars. So far all worked nice, consistent with the description. Now I would like to share my feelings about this product. Hope it helps. This unit more likes a tablet but vehicle diagnostic tool when looking at the shape. However, it is truly doing the partial functions of the tablet. The first thing you have to do before using the product is to register an account via the X431 pro mini APP on the main screen. You need to enter your number, a user name and password for finishing the register. After all these done, now you have an account available to log in the APP to upgrade the software. Once you done your upgrade, you can start to fix your car problems. It did all basic functions of reading and clearing codes for full systems, and I used it successfully turned off the check engine light. My Audi 8 series Brake pad was changed a while ago by myself, and the indicator light was really annoying, I googled for solutions, it said my car need to do the brake reset. So just bought this device on Amazon and perfectly solved my problem. I also applied it to my other cars and did the CBS reset, Steering Angle Calibration and TPMS Reset. As a private car owner, it is necessary to own this sort of helper, but for technicians, I bet it is a must have. With this functional and practical device, I can at least save 2000 dollars per year, also labor and time. Worth for the money.

Bought this pro mini was not my initial decision, but after comparing with many others diagnostic tools no matter from the functions or the price. I had no any hesitation to buy this. Now the fact turns out I made the wise decision. This Launch pro mini is a new diagnostic tool based on Android OS and uses a touchscreen interface .It supports all electronic control modules of 12V EFI vehicles. It can do full system diagnostic and have many useful special functions. I did many ordinary functions and also did the brake reset and ABS bleeding by using this powerful unit on my CHRYSLER CRUISER. Problems solved perfect .Thanks Launch.

The problem with doing brakes and dealing with the ABS. You have to cycle the ABS solenoid in order to properly remove the air from your brakes. A mechanic pro scanner is very pricey, but this worked very well. If you are a mechanic on a budget, the Android Tablet has many cars (foreign & Domestic) included. However, you need WIFI to download and update the packages. I did my own brakes, and did not want to spend $150 for a mechanic to bleed my brakes or spend a ton for a pro scanner. However, if you have your own Android Tablet or Phone. It is cheaper to buy the Dongle (sound a little suggestive, I know) and buy/download the software in the google play store or amazon (X431 Diag) for your car.
