Toyota vehicles prior to 2009 are equipped with a Tire Pressure Warming Reset that can be used for initialization. When the bottom is pushed and held for more than 3 seconds, the vehicles receivers are open and looking for the currently stored TPMS IDS.
What if there is a missing or broken sensor?<\/span>
What if there are new sensors on the vehicle that haven\u2019t yet been programmed?<\/span>
This will cause these vehicles to become stuck in a loop, searching for TPMS IDS that are no longer there.<\/span>

How to Tell the Vehicles Is In the \u201cloop\u201d?<\/span><\/strong> <\/div>\n
When a Toyota vehicle is stuck in the \u201cloop\u201d, the technician will not be able to write IDS using the OBD COMMS, and the tool will error out.<\/span> <\/div>\n

To verify it is a result of the loop condition, the technician can select the READ IDS option, which will connect and read out the IDS.<\/span> <\/div>\n

How to Use the WPROG-08 to Reset the Vehicle <\/span><\/strong> <\/div>\n
Insert the WPROG-08 into the DLC3(0BD port) on the vehicle.<\/span> <\/div>\n

Once connected, hear the beep sound into the programming mode, press and Hold the WPROG-08 button for at least 20 seconds.<\/span> <\/div>\n
