Bought this tool to have on hand just in case for quick diagnostics of the battery, starting, and charging system. This tool appears to be very well constructed and the buttons are firm which I like. I tested this out on 4 different cars with known good systems and all came back accurate. I took this to work and tested numerous battery cores with expected results, they either tested bad or charge and retest. The tool is laid out well and the interface is very user friendly. The outer case is ruggedized and seems like it would hold up to standard wear and tear. The only downside I see is that the cables may be the weak spot here, they are built into the tool and not detachable. I am not sure if you can get new leads for the unit or not so that could render the unit useless prematurely. The manual was written well with easy to understand instructions. Overall I am very happy with the purchase but may change the rating if the leads let me down.

I work at a Lexus dealership. We have a shop supplied MidTronics battery tester that costs over $1,000. I am incredibly impressed by the features offered on this model for around $100 in comparison. It does all of the same things such as battery tests (via CCA, JIS, ETC), a starter test, and alternator output. Very impressive. Would recommend!

Came fast and really answers all the questions you need answered. I use it for monitoring condition of a number of batteries ranging from little lawn tractor, car and diesel pickup to 24V banks of 4D and 8D AGM start batteries for marine diesel engines and generators. I only wish it could also do the individual 2V cells of the big house bank batteries but at this price nothing I found does that. I can also leave it connected to my 24V solar battery bank and it reads out precise charge voltage continuously. Nice plastic case, simple menus, and quick battery condition test. Great little tool.
